Photo prise lors du rassemblement international de voiliers "Tall Ships' Races" Anvers.
Ce bateau italien 3 mts porte le nom d'Amerigo Vespucci (1454-1512), il tait un marchand et navigateur originaire de Florence en Italie. Il fut le premier penser que la cte est de l'Amrique du Sud constituait un nouveau continent alors que tous les navigateurs de l'poque, y compris Christophe Colomb, pensaient dbarquer en Asie. C'est en son honneur qu'on a nomm le nouveau continent "America".

Photo taken during the international gathering of sailing ships Tall Ships' Races in Antwerp. This Italian boat with 3 masts wears the name of Amerigo Vespucci (1454-1512), he was a merchant and navigator originating in Florence in Italy. He was the first to think that the East coast of South America constituted a new continent whereas all the navigators of the time, including Christophe Colomb, thought of unloading in Asia. It's in his honor that one named the new continent America.
