A desolate and gloomy place. Rock, shale, mist, cloud and forbidding mountains. Just the place to build a little chapel! I'm sure the black and white treatment was fully justified for this monochrome scene.

Hello Gyφrgy,
Surely the pub down in the valley would have been a nicer place, but you found better photos on this mountain. Those in the older days who survived as far as this probably needed a chapel to thank their creator and to pray for a safe return home. It makes a good focal-point on the ridge, next to the rising fog. The scenery is majestic but rather gloomy on such a cloudy day. The conversion to B&W was an obvious choice.

Fabulous composition with the chapel in the middle distance creating a strong point of interest. I also like the well-chosen foreground and the low clouds make the armosphere extra special.

A wide remote and inhospitable mountainous landscape and this mono version has the feel of an old photograph that hasn't been abused its whole life! Misty and moody feel is enhanced by the chapel which makes the whole image comes alive. Really atmospheric and just breathtakingly captivating. Congrats
