Photographer's Note

This happy little chap was waiting with his family (note the doting father in the background)for his train at the Kanchanaburi Station, where we also were awaiting a train to take us over to the "Bridge Over The River Kwai". The trainline has been called the "death railway" because of the number of pow's who died constructing it (I think! I'm going to check that and get back on this). The expression on this guy's face creates a nice juxtaposition to the history of the area it was taken in, and sits well against my other, more sombre pictures of this subject.
