Photographer's Note

This is a photo taken in the National Museum of Ban Chiang.
Ban Chiang site, an oval shaped mound (habitation and burial site), was discovered in the 60's of the the 20th century and it's a World Heritage and the most important prehistoric settlement in SE Asia. It's being extensively studied since it was discovered and evidences have been found, proving that this place, that dates from around 1500 BC was an important agrarian settlement with rice agriculture, domestic animals, ceramics and bronze tool making.
It was its unique red ceramics with these original designs that made this site famous. In this museum it's also possible to see figures re-creating scenes from that period, just like this one.
