Photographer's Note

I feel a little strange posting this one actually. I don't think I have ever really posted a photo of someone who is so far down on his luck. I do like showing people who have a lot of character in their faces, but not those who are in desperate circumstances. however, this will be the first.
This guy lives about a ten minute walk from me, under a bridge/overpass. I see him quite often as I am walking around and it is kind of difficult for me. Of course, I have seen homeless people in any number of countries, but as far as I know, he is about the only one who has lived quite close to me. What makes it even harder is that he quite clearly has serious psychological problems. Often you can see him gesturing wildly and screaming at noone. Here he is in a much more tranquil mood.

Probably what put me over the edge and made me decide to post was Maciek's upload today, taken in the Phnom Penh dump. I realize that probably this shot would have more impact if there was the contact of seeing his face, but because of his circumstances, I would rather he remain anonymous. Sorry for the ramble.
