Photographer's Note

On the southern side of the pedestrian Cavenagh Bridge in Singapore, is a sculpture of a family of Singapura or Kucinta cats. When we saw them, they had been joined by this black, non-Singapura, cat, contentedly lying in the sunshine having a wash. The Bridge is almost 80m long and was built in 1869 in Glasgow, Scotland, then shipped in sections to Singapore. Named after Major General William Orfeur Cavenagh, it is the only suspension bridge - and the oldest bridge in its original state - to span the Singapore River.
