Photographer's Note

Today I'd like to show you the most spectacular model of russian ancient architecture - hip or tented cathedral roofs which were popular to be built around 16th and 17th centuries. They were big or small but slender and harminic always. The shute of kokoshnik is mandatory attribute below a tent. Specifically here is "Odegetria" church (1638) of monastery of John the Baptist in backveld town Vyazma, which is about 4 hrs from Moscow by train. Hope you enjoy the picture.
