Photographer's Note

We visited the Red Square area on a Sunday and found that the square was roped off and empty. We couldn't out why.
The square slopes up a little and then down towards the deeply coloured buildings beyond so the bottoms of them are hidden. There is what looks like a giant pedestrian crossing running the length of the square.
The main building in the middle is the history museum.
Go to the high resolution version for greater detail.
