Photographer's Note
The Baroto (boats as seen here) is the main means of transportation along the Agusan River -the longest river in Mindanao, Philippines. It rises in the southeast and flows northward to enter Butuan Bay of the Bohol Sea. The river forms a fertile valley 40 to 50 miles Important population centres are clustered around the bay and include Butuan. This photo was taken in the Butuan Ecopark - a few minutes away form the City. The weather here is quite erratic. This photo was taken after part of Butuan was raining... then all of a sudden it was sunny -the reason for the rainbow in the sky!
