Photographer's Note

OK, I know this is not breaking new ground. I think everyone who visits U-Pein Bridge tries to get a shot of monks as they journey across. I believe I was really lucky in that there was really beautiful evening light hitting the monks for one and for another, they were spaced well enough that there weren't any t-shirt clad foreigners taking up a spot in my photo.

U-Pein is famous as being (I think) the longest teak bridge in the world. It is also perhaps the best spot (and light) I have ever hit for photography.

I had actually forgotten about this one almost completely and it would have remain burried had I not been going through my old files looking for images for a calendar I am making for family and friends. I am glad I found this to be honest.

ISO 200, tripod mounted, uncropped, focal length 200mm (~300mm 35mm equivalent), normal post processing.
