Hello, perfectly composed and filled with atmosphere, your image is a brilliant example of a fisherman's life for the Intha people out on the lake in Myanmar. Their daily life is so different than for those in Western civilization.

I like very much this simple and elegant composition, I think that these words also describe the way people live and fish in this part of the world. Your composition has exquisite balance, the fisherman and the bright clouds are attractive and essential but the scene is wonderfully complemented by the dark clouds, the landscape and the reflections. You've achieved superb definition on all those elements and given them a distinctive role in the whole. I also appreciate very much the sense of space and, of course, the light. The contrast between the dark water of the lake and the perfectly lit main subject draws attention to this delightful travel image. The dramatic sky completes the picture.

Hi Andre,

It is always a pleasure to read your comments, good or bad, your opinion means a lot to me. I'm not most technically good photographer. I'm better at the composition and I spend time doing pp to bring out the best quality that I can but not over doing it. From what I can see and read, you are a master of both and better equipment as well and you travelled to many wonderful places and you plan you shot. I shoot what I see and I messed up sometimes.

Here the light is perfect, low and warm illuminated your subject perfectly, The clarity of the air is also at it's best without haze. The man and the boat alone would have make a wonderful shot but the condition of the clouds and deep blue sky make it a pitch perfect composition. The reflection on the water with sparkling light against the indigo water is just mesmerizing. A place I wish to go back one day. I was here before the digital camera day, the scan never do it justice and I was not much of a photographer back then.

Such a great presentation of the Intha people and their way of life is perfectly capture and presented here. They would be proud of it to be represented by your masterful photography skill.

So, this lonely man was doing fishing, I guess. It's a very nice shot, as always. Myanmar is very close to China. But it seems very different.

On a vu des tas de photos de ces fameux pêcheurs du lac Inle mais, là, la lumière est vraiment magique et rend la photo unique. Les nuages dans le ciel ne gâchent rien!

c'est une splendeur il suit la forme du nuage au dessus quelle vue ce pêcheur sur sa barque ce ciel ces tons très grande réussite.
