Photographer's Note
one from the vaults...for leo61 in thanks for his many excellent Myanmar pictures
---
PYAY was formerly known as Prome and is an important commercial center for trade between the Ayeyarwady Delta and Central and Upper Myanmar. Our alibi for visiting this town was the ancient and mysterious Bawbawgyi Paya, just a couple of kilometers outside the Pyay city walls.

stay true to your art, folks!

Bonjour Benny,
Ces deux κtres marchant pieds et pattes nues et ayant presque la mκme robe sont tous deux en mιditation sans doϋte, s'ignorant parfaitement. La composition est trθs adroite. L'image est belle et pleine d'humour. Bravo.
Bonne journιe et Bonne Annιe!
Amicalement

HI Benny!
Thanks for this "Oldie" and I can tell you it`s still the same. While doing their dayly buisiness people and even animals respect each other and both, the monk and the dog get donations/food from the very religious buddhist people.
A fine old scan, but GRRRRR I have to wait nearly 11 month to be in a buddhist country again.
A late happy new year and a great weekend,
Leo

Dear Benny
Rather than face-on close portraits I have a liking for this type of situational ones. The scan quality is excellent & tribute to Leo is a fine one. Very interesting compo in a good diagonal...timing was critical here & you achieved it well!
Best Regards
Angshu

HI Benny
Hehehehe, this makes me smile too. You;ve spotted an interesting little story here and shot it superbly. I like how you've framed the shot with your subjects on opposite ends ot the frame which balances things nicely. Great colours and sharpness, particularly of the monk. I like this alot, thanks for sharing it with us.
Warm regards
Lisa
