Photographer's Note

There is a story told of two merchant brothers, Mahasala and Kullasala, who returned from India. They came with two hairs that had been given them by the Gautama Buddha. They decided to build a small stupa over these relics, and with the passage of time, the original structure was enlarged a number of times, with sacred teeth added to the collection in 982 and 1385 CE. Visiting is a moving experience!
