Photographer's Note

And now the monks were settled at their tables. Eating would start once grace had been said. Usually, grace renders an acknowledgement to the Lord Buddha, the dharma that furnishes protection from life's many sufferings, and to the sangha (the collective) of monks. It was now time for us to leave the meal area to be shown one of the numerous hostels that housed the monks. Shortly thereafter we departed the monastery heading southeast, about 2 kilometres away, to view the Shwemawdaw Pagoda.
