Photographer's Note

The kitchen operations are a significant component of the operations in a monastery - especially when you have up to 1,000 monks to feed. On their early morning rounds each day, they are the recipients of food donations. In turn, these donations have to be sorted and examined. The donations, in turn, must be supplemented by food contributing to a more or less balanced diet, cooked possibly and then served.
