Photographer's Note

After noon hour, the red wooden sampan boat lost in a drift across the Sarawak River. Many villagers who live across on the north bank of this river come over to bazaar to shop for daily needs and what better way than to take this boat for RM0.30 (US0.10) each way to avoid the hassle of traffic jams. In fact, the ride can be very pleasant with a good view of riverbank. If you cross during early morning sunrise or late evening sunset, you may be greatly surprised of what you might see!

What boats do you have in your country for transport mode? I have seen on TE some boats on water in Italy and Netherlands. Perhaps some of you may share your experience. Thank you for viewing.

Tomorrow the 29th Olympics will close and hope you all have a good view of the ceremony. Cheers, bill
