Photographer's Note

This is at the Tua Pek Kong Buddhist temple of Sibu. There were two of these, now with one faling down into the water. My previous post was about temple and harmony, now a post about what the Global Financial collapse means to a temple at Rajang River, Sibu, which fell after being knocked at night by a careless vessel plying the river. It would be a guess that the captain could be either drunk or sleeping to miss the bright lights of the temple.

When the western financial experts write books about money markets and how the free market economy is to be driven by the private sector and the instruments devised to make it work, and academics teach about Finance10001, 2008 finally ended the dreams of many. Out of a sunny blue sky and perfect sunshine, there lies the failure for all to see. Be very careful on how you carry on for 2009, live smart, spend wisely!

Question on everyone's mind : how long it takes to rebuild? A temple pergola or financial system? Or we leave it to the experts, academics again?
