Photographer's Note

View of the Mekong river as seen through the luxurious vegetation of its banks, Champasak town, southern Laos.
Some fishermen could be seen on the calm waters at this tranquile hour of the afternoon.
They say Champasak it's a town and even capital of district but it looked more like a very small village to me.

Meandering for 4km along the right bank of the Mekong, CHAMPASAK is an unassuming town of wooden shophouses and two red dirt roads, with a pace so decidedly leisurely that it's difficult to imagine it was the capital of a once bustling kingdom.
