Another 'speeding bus over a bumpy road' shot. Taken at 1/500 th or 1/1000 th of second, to freeze blur, as much as possible. No time to compose perfectly.

The rice paddies are tripping down the hillside, to the lake, which is a volcanic caldera, within a dormant volcano.

hi chris, what a fantastic mountainscape; i think that the nature created a fantastic photo opportunity and human hand has even improved it; just wonder if the palm tree on the left included in full wouldn't be an option here?

A beautiful place with a very ncie POV. I like this view from above.
A interesting saturation of all colros.
The 3 parts, braun, green, blue, are perfect and good framed.
The smog (clouds) give a plus too.

It looks like a dream scene - very nice framing with the various layers of land and all of them coming in different colors and shapes. Very good result for being taken from a moving bus.

Wow, the photo is so good, that its hard to believe yo took it from a moving bus. Only comment maybe the half-palm tree should go, otherwise, it is very good image very evocative and with nice layered cololurs.

Hi Chris! What a mix of colours and relief here. They contrast very well with the cloudy and cold blue background. Moreover the POV from above relly seems to invite us to go go thru the scenery, until the lake downward. A very nice catch and a very good scaning job.

Considering what youve described this is a very successful image. The framing is quite nice as theres a clear descending diagonal line from the right to the left bringing dynamic. This is also reinforced by the palm-tree at the left which holds our eyes in the middle of the image. Excellent colors and very nice details.

You must have had practically walked your camera all over Indonesia Chris. You pretty much know just what to frame within your viewfinder, to get that visually pleasing and inviting scene.

Good morning Chris,
Fantastic sight of the rice-fields over the terraces on the hill, and a great composition you managed despite being on a bus ride. Parts in brown, green and blue mingle wonderfully, showing well the life around the plantation ground's.
Excellent scan of a well preserved picture.
