Photographer's Note

For years, the Kawah Ijen sulfur bulk carriers carried the sulfur blocks on their shoulders, but for about two years some of them have been using trolleys. Loaded with about two hundred kilos of sulfur these trolleys remain difficult to maneuver in certain passages of the descent, they are equipped with brakes, essential to avoid that the cargo does not go towards the ravine!
This work can not be more painful because on a part of the course, on the slope of the volcano, it is absolutely necessary to carry the heavy load on man's back!
