Photographer's Note
back to my black and whites for a while. a very different one from me ( since it's more cheerful than the rest). this was taken in one of the slums in delhi. if anyone's been to india , then he/she may have seen the kind of a rickshaw cart on which people carry luggage etc. there is a little plank , maybe just a little more than 1 square metre or maybe even less, which is attached to the back of a bicycle. well all these kids have climbed onto it, to be in the frame. you can see the handle of the bicycle in the middle. dont miss the hand holding the kid's face trying to make him smile. this is an everyday affair in india, i mena kids jumping onto rickshaws etc. they love to hand on the back of a moving rickshaw.
i had posted another photograph here :

this was taken on another occasion, the kids are having fun, irritating the grumpy owner of the rickshaw cart by climbing on to it

such a rich image...so much depth and clarity. perfect balance between achieving DoF and still clearly seeing the array of faces.

Ha haa.. The baby being forced to smile seems wonderful. The note made me remind my childhood. We were also climbing to the back of the phaetons despite the whip strokes we were getting from time to time.
A very good capture Sohrab. A good sample of a B/W work. Thanks for sharing...

What a great, and varied, bunch of faces. I love the face on the baby getting squeezed and the one of the little kid in the first row trying to sneak in between the bigger kids. Very fun shot.

Another cracker sohrab. Whata collection of faces. The all do look quite cheerful apartfrom the guy having his face squeezed!
I like the grouping with all the kids on top of each other.

Superbe shot, I like all these differents faces. I hope that the kid were not too much hurt by his friend (the one in the middle right part of the composition).

hee sohrab..
this moment is great! the face of the little kid is hilarious... this is what makes some photo's so awesome the unexpected things you capture while releasing the shutter... great fun... the black and white is a bit harsh thought, but this photo can have it nevertheless :D

Hello Sohrab,
I like your ... pyramid of smiles. The title is well choosen. what I find funniest, that's the child who forces his friend to smile by gripping the mouth with his hand. It could become a triangle of smiles. See the WS proposed just for fun.

and this one is a wonderful group portrait, so many smiles, great expressions, nice compo too... i would be a bit afraid to deal in India with such a big grup of quite big kids though, sometimes they can be nasty ;)
