Photographer's Note

This is the 76th picture of Leh series.

This picture was taken on the way to Pangong Lake. In my future posts I'll be posting a few pictures of Pangong Lake which in itself is amazingly beautiful. Meanwhile in the next few posts I'm presenting pictures taken while driving towards Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake is a huge salt water lake at a height of above 17500 ft. on India China border. Its is aproximately 45 Kms. long lake and 2/3rd of the lake lies in Chaina and 1/3rd in India. On the way we have to cross world's third highest motorable pass which is known as "Changla Pass" and is situated approximately 17800 feet above MSL.
This picture was taken around 9am in the morning while passing a monestary called "Shakti Monastary", we did not stop here due to shortage of time, but the view looked beautiful far from the road looking at the monastary situated on the top of a small barren hill surrounded by potatoes and mustard farms.
