Photographer's Note

The Lakshminarayan Temple of Hosaholalu, Mandya Dist., Karnataka is one of the finest examples of majestic temple-architecture of the Hoysala Empire. This temple was built in the 13th century A.D by the Hoysala king Veera Someshwara. The outer wall-carvings mimic the temple of Somanathapura located nearby, and comprise of the epics of Hindu faith - Mahabharatha, Ramayana, etc. This is an ASI protected monument and a wonderful place for history-photographers.
