The chinkara, also called Indian gazelle.
A small gazelle of slender graceful build. The body above is light chestnut, the colour deepening where it joins the white of the underparts on the flanks and buttocks. The plains and low hills of north western and central India extending through the open lands of the Deccan to a little south of the Krishna River. Main course of food includes grass, different type of leaves and variety of crops.
