Photographer's Note

I was trying something a little different with this perspective. Framing the sky using the main subject.

This is a view from inside the Bayon Temple. This temple is located directly north of the main temple that you will first see when entering the park. On the tower at the bottom of the frame you can see a face that was carved into the stone around 1200 AD. Many carvings of this face can be seen at Bayon Temple in the ancient city of Angkor Thom inside the Angkor Wat Park in Cambodia. It was reportedly carved as a likeness of a Hindu diety, Avalokiteshvara, but was said to have more strongly resembled the likeness of King Jayavarman VII for whom the temple was built.
