Photographer's Note

The Victoria Falls is a waterfall situated in southern Africa on the Zambezi River between the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The falls are, by some measures, the largest waterfall in the world.

This is taken on the Zambian side. When visiting, there are generally no barriers between the edge of the gorge and the path - so you can get unobstructed views like this one. I was there in high water season (February) and the amount of water flowing was torrential. I asked someone to hold an umbrella over me as I took this photo to help avoid spray on the Nikon. Even so, my camera was quite soaked but luckily survived the water after I dried it and let it sit in the sun.
