Photographer's Note

In southern Tunisia, the indigenous Berber people of North Africa live in stone and cave villages dug into the steep cliffs. The villages cling precariously to the sides of the hills or perch dramatically on hilltops. Heavy rainfalls have caused many of the cave villages to crumble. This one has been abandoned, but it is still fascinating to explore.

Sorry this is such a small image, I'll repost it when I find a larger scan.
