Photographer's Note

I now realize from many comments that this is not South Africa, I believe it is actually in Zimbabwe. But I cannot change the location. Sorry.

This place is absolutely spell binding. The power, the rush of water, the countless rainbows, the sheer majesty of the falls is breathtaking.
It was hard to choose which one to upload. I took so many while the opportunity presented itself. Notice the small rainbow to the left.
I always try to include something in the foreground to give some perspective to the photo. In this case some shrubs, trees and I like the small leaf in the upper left hand corner. You might disagree, but it is difficult to present the sheer spectacle without these little reiminders.
The Victoria falls is 1,708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. It drops between 90m and 107m into the Zambezi Gorge and an average of 550,000 cubic metres of water plummet over the edge every minute.
