Photographer's Note

Tangier was once an international city, specially during and shortly after the II World War. Lot of political refugees ended there looking for shelter, among them many spaniars running away from the bloody dictatorship regime of Franco. In fact the mountains on the background are the seaside of Cαdiz, at the very south of Europe, of Spain, so probably some of those political refugees stayed there under the red sun, le soleil rouge, waiting for the chance to cross from shore to shore to find whas was their original land...

To all the victims of the Franco regime (1936-1975)
