Photographer's Note

Sugar is and will be for some time still, one of the backbones of our economy. In this century things are becoming harder and harder with the revisiting of existing conventions signed between the ACP countries and the ecc.The number of sugar plants have been reduced in order to cutdown production cost to keep that activity still profitable. This means less and less sugar mills .Passing near one "still alive " this big chimney in the blue sky was indeed a nice moment to catch .May be in the next century it will be just something our children won't see.
