Photographer's Note
I will utter dark sayings of old.
A priest at Nakuta La'ab, a pilgrimage church 6 to 8 km outside of Lalibela. During the festival of Genna (Ethiopian Christmas) the small town of Lalibela receives up to 300 000 pilgrims. A coouple of days before Christmas, with the town filling up, I took a walk with a guide and a few hundred pilgrims to this church outside of town.
Ethiopian churches are beautiful, can be carved in to rock, and can be very, very dark. For those of you who know my Trekearth portfolio, I do like playing around in very low light conditions - but I am at my limits here: very high ISO, fairly low speed, and a bit of post-processing to lighten the shot.

Dear lain
Nice portrait taken under very difficult light and high ISO.
Anyway, post processing is excellent, interesting text about
Ethiopian churches.
Great photo job.
Kind regards
