Photographer's Note

Much less well known than its 2 larger cousins in Giza is the world's third tallest pyramid at 105 metres, equal in height to the adjacent failed 'Bent' Pyramid nearby. It used to be encased in white limestone which was pillaged centuries ago for constructing buildings in the Cairo Citadel. This was the first successful design of a true pyramid. It was completed in 2589 BC. More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Pyramid
