Great subhendu_bagchi 2013-09-08 5:33

hi Deniz, this photo has an appeal though the sharpness is not perfect. It seems to me as a sculpture curved from stone... The black and white treatment made us think so. The grains are nicely matched with this context, just my realisation. The idea of tight framing is superb. I liked it as a whole. Tfs.

Default To subhendu_bagchi: sculpture

hi subhendu,
thanks a lot for your reaction, as the "stone sculpture" result was exactly what i liked after this pp. the elephant skin is an extraordinary texture and it is difficult to transfer the wrinked surface with the poor result of the original photo.
it is not the regular "brightness/contrast/sharpness" issues, i didn't use any of them this time and tried something(s) completely different. the elephants looked much more 3D and real to me compared to the dull textures of the original photo.
again, thank you for the feedback and support.
kind regards,
