I like your pictures on the Metro where you isolate a small detail of the subject from the whole scene. Avigur workshop shows that removing the lights does I think concentrate the eye on the main subject. Excellent focus and handling of exposure in difficult lighting conditions

...I feel that cropping close to the potentially real subject and cutting it from its global surroundings (while leaving tracks of missing parts, as Yitzhak did in this instance) is more an hindrance than an asset here. When everything shown to us is taylored to be right on spot, easier to understand and helpful to make us make our minds without thinking too much about it, lack of perception a a "full" picture might lead to many oversimplified and unbalanced conclusions.
If I had to chose, I think that Ebbe's proposition is more consistent, but way too radical for me, as time goes by...
I keep on learning and experimenting though all reactions I receive here. More to come, I guess, one way or another. And thanks again, Colin... *o)
