Great InasiaJones 2007-06-29 1:17

Hi Jose,

After exchanging information with you, I can only say that you’re doing a great job managing exposure and proper focus. But more important than that, you’ve captured a unique moment of extasy, a sheer emotion of fun and excitement.

I really like the fact that your two subjects are looking at different places, so we have a sense that they are not posing, but rather enjoying the moment. The colours are vivid, but according to what we were discussing tonight, I think the contrast might not be strong enough. The photo lack some dark zones and this is something your histogram should have been able to signaled.

I have done a workshop on it and according to what I was expecting, I think it works, to my humble opinion. Please let me know what you are thinking, you’ll be the judge... ;-p)

Ciao Jose!

Default To inasiajones: Looks great!

It looks great!
It goes straight to may favorites!!! LOL

I always try to get the most info laying into the shadows, and I noticed I avoid naturally the images too contrasted, perhaps by my training in the PC issue that already told you.

If I have to choose, I'll pick up the slightly under contrasted image, so I'm sure won't get any burnt area in the most possible of the monitors.

As you can see in my EXIF data, I compensate the exposure by -0.3 ev, which I found in my camera help to produce warmer colors and more saturated ones (similar to the c.polarizer), because that afternoon the sky were cloudy and I wanted to get the most of her skins and costume's colours.
So after in the PP, I believe that I had too much of orange everywhere, even on her skins due to the reflected colour of the costumes. And just wanted to keep safe and don't look "overdone".

But I must say your workshop got the best of the picture!

Thanks a lot for your time and dedication,
