Great HOBO 2006-11-16 5:27

Hello Jack,
thank you for this excursion into history, great note and perfect picture!
but...
The column gives a sharp shadow, so does the HDR darkened to much the scenery?
Regards
Knut

Default To HOBO: Shadows and light

Hi Knut
If you look to the details of the photo you will see several places with light spots as there is shadowed areas. Typical for the very clouded day I think.

As an HDR example (who should smooth out some of the lightest and darkest areas in the photo) for me this is a very good example. If you look to i.e Saids (didi) photo of the same area at app. the same time (here) you will see how the camera fails to adjust for the difference of light/shadows. While in my other HDR shot of the lake (here) again you can see how the light is more smoothed.

Thank's for your interest.

Jack
