Great Silke 2006-07-12 18:22

Hi Ken
I really like this slice of life capture. It's peaceful (appropriate for an away from the tourists shot). Excellent dof and POV here. The only thing that I would personally have done differently would have been to crop a little tighter: up from the base to the start of the white on the right hand pole and in fronm the left to just before the left hand pole. (But that is very subjective I think.)
To my mind, this image is vastly underrated!
Kudos

Default To Silke: Cropping

Maybe you're right about the cropping, Silke, though I don't think it has a really big effect. My thinking with the crop I did was to show a bit of the drabness of the surroundings--just cement blocks, mostly. But a lot of that still comes though with a tighter crop. Thanks! Regards, Ken.
