Great macjake 2014-10-10 17:36

Hi Paul
I'm going to India in Feb. At first, I didn't think about adding Amritsar to my travel lineup, but after seeing this sweet shot of the Golden Temple I may change my mind!

So this was taken early in the morning? What a beautiful light you captured.

and of course the long perspective lines are smart too.
bravo for this one
cheers
Craig

Hi Craig

Lonely Planet describes Copenhagen as the coolest kid on the Scandinavian block and I tend to strongly agree with them. My favourite city in the area by far. Livelier than Oslo and Stockholm and without so many of the beggars in the streets or petty crime problems. The Danes are more laid back than stressed out Swedes in Stockholm rushing around like their lives depended on it to the point of speeding through red lights at zebra crossings. Someone remarked to me that the Swedes and Norwegians are grumpy and dour because the cost of beer, wine, and spirits is so high in those countries. If it was cheaper they would be a lot happier, lol! Swedes often buy duty free beer on the big passenger boats to Denmark and Finland, and within those 2 countries too. Helsinki was good too but it was difficult to find a room in a hotel without booking weeks or even months ahead. I found people in the south of Norway not as friendly as those in the north, from about Trondheim up to Tromso they were great.
