Great linask 2009-09-28 10:51

It's interesting to see something other than skyscrapers from Singapore.
Something is not right about sharpening, it looks too harsh. There are some clearly visible white lines around some buildings. If your software supports it, try sharpening using lower radius, something like 0.2 or 0.3 pixels.

Default To linask: White lines around the building

Hi Linas,
The white lines/areas around the higher buildings are probably caused by lightening the shadows a bit extra in a late phase of PP, I am not sure that is caused by the sharpening. If you mean white lines only directly connected to the building then thanks for telling, learned something new to look for next time.

I meant one pixel wide white lines directly on the edge of building - I think that's the result of sharpening. Brighter area of sky close to the edge (that usually happens after applying shadow/highlight recovery) is also visible, but it's not that distracting.
