Great Royaldevon 2010-10-23 10:33

Hello Finlay,

You must be disappointed that this shot has had so little response. For me, the colours and the light are lovely. The signs of autumn cannot be denied.
However, there are a couple of things that, for me, would improve the overall effect.
First, the bush on left is not adding much to the photograph, so I would crop most of it, along with some of the grass. The autumnal colours now take presedence and with a little boost of colour, look even better. Lastly, the shot is crying out for a border. I have done a w/s to demonstrate my ideas and hope you are not offended by my suggestions.

Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Default To Royaldevon: thanks

Bev

Thanks for the workshop that you did and the comments that you made about this shot. Its always good to get that sort of feedback. Your idea of cropping the shot and boosting the colours to put more emphasis on the autumnal tones is an excellent one and certainly gives the image considerably more impact. The border looks good too.

Finlay.
