Great holmertz 2018-12-29 12:33

Hello Elvira,
A penny for The Thinker's thoughts these days. Maybe that he forgot to recharge his phone, or that he is tired of the tourists with their stupid gadgets. I appreciate this composition, where there is some kind of interaction between the visitor and the sculpture. I think that is basically the only decent way to take photos in museums, at least if you want to show them to others. Keeping the photos just as personal souvenirs is of course a different matter.
Regards,
Gert

Default To holmertz: photos in museums

Hello Gert,
you are right and I agree, and considering the rules of TE it should be the only way for contributions. Everything else you can look up at wikipedia.
Thanks for writing!

Exactly!
Ah! It is nice to see at least one person understanding why photos of Artwork - especially the mostly tightly framed ones - should not be posted on TE because it does not show the photographer’s skills, it is just a reproduction of an Artwork. And as you said, Elvira, we all can find this googling internet...
At the other side, a photo like yours, showing the interaction Art / public, is definitely a great one, thank you so much for giving your thoughts about it...

Have a wonderful time these last days of 2018 and enjoy a Healthy & Peaceful New Year!
