Yeah mario..ofcourse. The more the merrier:)

Those are my dream destinations. Chosen for many reasons.

NK more so for its oddity, the strangeness and it being the most weird place on Earth.

The others for their people and colors.

I see i am not alone about North Korea, but really, that is a choice that requires some serious political changes before it is possible, otherwise you would go and see a performance, something scripted that they want you to see. For a more open, "freestlye" freekshow destination, I am going to Turkmenistan.

I must say Northern India appeals to me right now - but also west the Thar Desert.

Default How much would you prepare before you went?

Would you make contacts in the country beforehand, do lots of research, target specific places - gain permissions and seek help or just turn up and freestyle?

Wait a minute now, you have just amped this up to a docu trip, in which case yes, try and make contacts and do lots of research. For just a travel trip, do lots of research (it's ALWAYS good to know about the place you are going, no matter what) and then show up and freestyle it. Specific plans can lock you into one idea, once you arrive you may find out that those ideas were wrong and you need to reevaluate the plans. Doing the research will educate you, enabling you to know what else is going on and adapt that.
