Great Energysavingelk 2017-08-22 12:16

Hello Steven!

I have been out on the occasion of the great European eclipse on 08-11-1999 and know the difficulties. This is well done, especially with respect to the fine structure and details of the corona. I do not see any prominences, although the live broadcasts showed some. I appreciate that you did not center the sun, which makes your image more credible. The guys on TV said the temperature fell about 1 °C during the eclipse, which is ridiculously small. During my observation on the hills near Saarlouis, Germany, the temperature dropped from 22 °C to 16°C.

Regards from Rhineland
Sven

Default To Energysavingelk: Hello Sven

Thank You to begin with. Yes the temperature dropped and the wind increased a bit, but not enough to make a difference. A great moment to remember... I just posted the final image I captured where is shown a lone Bailey Bead, mid right. In 2024 I believe will be a Total Solar Eclipse where in Argentina the Totality will last 4 minutes.
