Great holmertz 2019-12-18 0:38

Hello Malgo,
Somehow these works of Western public art do not seem to fit the conservative Saudi cultural context, but I learn they date back to an ambitious mayor in the 1970's, when the country stepped into the modern world. They are all interesting works, and they are well photographed, and especially I like Calder's red work accompanied by yellow flowers. But it's slightly confusing that you mention Vasarely, Moore and Arp, but they are not shown here.
Kind regards,
Gert

Talking To holmertz: Arp

Hi Gert, Thank you for your nice words. I see you have made a small reasearch. I often look for additional information, too. I showed in one post six pieces of art, it is not a bad result . I liked the place, I went there twice, have a long series taken during sunset, with the people just pickniking under the sculptures and children hiding in them. In fact, one can see Vasarely behind Pomodoro and Moore behind Mirσ. No Arp . But who is interested in Saudi . Christmas markets and items are much more interesting. I must look for Christmas pictures

Have a nice day. It is very warm in Warsaw, like on Easter .

Malgo

Hello Malgo,
When a photo or a note confuses me I always make my own research.
Stockholm right now: 1 °C and rain occasionally turning into wet snow. It has been raining practically as far back as I can remember.
