Default New 'Categories' Section

There is a new 'Categories' tab in the 'Gallery' area. This tab contains 3 sub-tabs, 'Categories', 'Cameras' and 'Views'.

Categories = 'Architecture', 'Castles', 'Daily Life' etc.

Cameras = All cameras which have at least 1 photo displayed

Views = Random (18 random photos) and Least Viewed (at least 1 week old)

Since there are now 2 'Categories' I'm thinking of renaming the original 'Categories' to 'Subjects'. If anyone has any suggestions about anything please let me know.

Note that typing in camera name, i.e. 'nikon' in the search box will list all Nikon cameras on the search page (under the 'Cameras' tab).

I think you're on the right track.

I'd like to see this feature morph into a full 'search by keyword' function.

Many shots are capable of being placed under more than one category. Some categories need subdivision.

Make checklists that allow people to select as many keywords as they think fit. Allow suggestions for additional keywords.

Animals
  Cats
  Dogs
  Horses

Architecture/Buildings/Structures
  Bridges
  Building components (doors, windows).
  Castles
  Temples
  (Add new keyword ______________)

Daily Life
  Farming
  Laundry
  Worshiping
  (Add new keyword ______________)

etc.

Then one could call up the keyword list, check the words that applied to their search and get a page of pictures that fit.

"Many shots are capable of being placed under more than one category."

This is possible now. You need to hold down the <ctrl> key when selecting more than one category.

"Some categories need subdivision."

Yes, this is something I would definitely like to do eventually. Thanks for the idea.
