After the pictures from the plane I was wondering whether you'd also land in China. I'll be following your series closely, as China has been our favourite travel destination for lots of years.

Sad to read about your luggage and your bad restaurant experience (I wonder what happened) & I hope things turned out right.

Bit of a strange, unusual picture to start with. The building doesn't particularly look very Chinese...

the architecture of this house is the same of of the Qing dinasty, the arches design looks more western, but the structure is typical with these grey bricks. I really don't like chinese food and I only found a small and poor chinese restaurant where people don't talk english, it was difficult to choose the food and the guy who bring me the food wasn't happy with my presence there.

Sorry to read this. For us the food is always one of the reasons for travelling and in China we usually prefer small local places where no one speaks English, exactly like what you describe. But - to be fair - I must add that we speak some Chinese, which can make things easier.)
