Great holmertz 2019-03-25 7:27

Hello Robert,
It's an interesting monument, and perhaps more interesting and original than truly beautiful. Below it is a very nice view across the bay and a fair number of people that animate the place. This photo seems to feature several of your specialties, like the ominously dark sky and probably the top of what must have been an extremely tall palm tree. The parachutist seems to have your special touch. In the end a very good result.
Kind regards,

Default To holmertz: Hallo

Thanks for your nice comment, Gert.
The parachute and the palm tree were really in my field of vision. As for the slanted trunk, it's due to lens distortion; I was aiming so high from a lower step to include the overall view. My 'specialty' is only related to sky darkening to avoid overexposure at the zenith, independently of the statue.itself. Have a nice day!

Good photographers have the talent to act fast when lucky coincidences happen. Obviously you belong to that category. Thanks for your reply.
