Default To tyro: Photography in the UK

Hello John,

Thanks for your kind words about this photo. The light conditions were rather difficult and I am not too happy with the result, but sometimes we have to do with a compromise. I am well aware of that and in the end satisfied with what and how I have done.

The topic you have opened is very interesting. I became aware of it last year, during my visit to the UK. My brother who lives there warned me not to take any photos of the people (especially not children), private property or important public buildings. Luckily, I didn't have any problems. A couple of months ago I read about that BBC photographer who had problems with the police while taking photos in London. It has been discussed in the forum of another photo site where I was active for a while. We still don't have such problems, but that paranoia (as you called it with a good reason) will for sure come here too, in some time. Thanks for linking me to the forum thread you have started, I am very much interested and will go there to read the article and the forum posts.

Best wishes,
