Great emka 2019-09-18 12:37

Hello Gert, Another splendid note about your adventures in England. This viewpoint is fantastic, the manor looks all in its glory here. I am against writing on the trees, but these signs on the right sight look eyecatching.
Magnificent monument and the garden. I love such places and I saw a few similar ones in England. I have never heard about Chatsworth. It is incredible that such castles have been the home of one family for centuries. But for me another thing is interesting. I checked, that Henry Cavendish, who discovered hydrogen and measured the Earth's density in the famous experiment was from this family.
A place worth visiting.

Kind regards MAlgo

Default To emka: not been there?

Thank you Malgo,
I saw you don't have any photos from Derbyshire in your portfolio, but I was still almost certain you would say you had been to Chatsworth and seen all 20 rooms open to the public.
Cheers,
Gert

Hello Gert, Imagine that there are quite many castles in Scotland and big manors and beautiful cathedrals in England that I haven't seen . My map of UK on TE is full of white patches . And nothing will change in the near future.

Goodnight

Malgo
