Great holmertz 2019-09-05 12:16

Hello Piotr,
Excellent photo. This is the kind of museum interior that makes me tired just looking quickly at it. So many boring portraits, all looking more or less the same, all showing middle aged men, and most of them placed too high for anyone to see them properly. The soft benches were certainly needed. I can understand the woman preferring her mobile phone. But it's a very well taken photo, perfectly balanced and very neatly cropped.
Best regards,

Smile To holmertz: The Military Gallery

Hi Gert,

It is not meant to study all these portraits. This room celebrates the Russian victory of the Patriotic War of 1812 and contains 332 portraits of the generals who took part in the war. The portraits were painted by the English painter George Dawe with the help of the Russian artrists. The empty spaces are for the generals whose views were not known.

Kind regrads Malgo
